Jyotish is an ancient divination system through which sages sought to understand the workings of the universe. While its roots lie in India, in the Western world this system is better known as Indian or Vedic astrology. Jyotish is one of the six Vedangas, or auxiliary disciplines of the Vedas, whose goal is to comprehend the meaning of the Vedas, achieve spiritual perfection, and touch divine wisdom.
Jyotish translates from Sanskrit as "Light of Knowledge," and this science illuminates the path of the human soul, reveals hidden corners of life in the material world that are invisible to the ordinary eye, and uncovers eternal laws according to which our lives exist.
According to the principles of Vedic astrology, each planet in the solar system carries a certain type of energy. Their interaction weaves the fabric of all creation.
